Carrie Underwood took a terrible fall in the middle of performing on Thursday September 5th her song, “Undo It” at a concert in Corpus Christi Texas. Fortunately she seems to be doing better and is looking forward to her new NFL gig. She is replacing Faith Hill as the VOICE of Sunday Night Football on NBC starting this Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants. Hill has performed the shows theme song for the last five years. According to the Los Angeles Times, Carrie Underwood said that she wanted to put her own style on “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” the theme song based on Joan Jett’s rock ‘n’ roll anthem “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” When asked about comparisons to Hill, Underwood told the Los Angeles Times that, “We were definitely mindful- She had put her mark on it for so many years. We definitely wanted to go in and make sure we switched gears a little bit and made it sound more like me. And changed up the look and the feel just so it wasn’t, you know, the same song with a different blondie up there singing it.”
My Cyndi’s Secrets seriously doubts that Carrie Underwood could ever sing like just “a different blondie”. What do you think? Please share you comments in the space provided!
